Can you grow on social media without music? (halal marketing, answered)

how to grow without music, halal marketing

the fear behind this question

“And whoever fears Allah, He will make for him a way out, and will provide for him from where he does not expect.” (Surah At-Talaq, 65:2-3)

“If you were to rely upon Allah with the reliance due to Him, He would provide for you just as He provides for the birds. They go out in the morning with empty stomachs and return full.” (Sunan al-Tirmidhi, 2344)

why music was never the real reason behind growth

things to use instead of music

  1. Voiceover > of trending audio
Your own voice builds trust faster than a sound a thousand other pages already used this week, and it gives the algorithm a clear watch time signal

    • Record 10 to 15 seconds saying one true thing out loud
    • Talk the way you’d explain it to a friend mid-conversation
    • Example opener: “i wonder why NOBODY is talking about [X]”

  2. Real silence or ambient sound in your b-roll.
    • Calm content is rare right now, which makes it stand out in a busy feed
    • Film 5 seconds of your workspace or process
    • Keep the real ambient sound (unless your siblings are fighting in the bg 😭)

  3. Nasheed or dua audio, used with intention.
    • This works when it fits the mood of the content, chosen for what the words say
    • Save it for genuinely reflective content, a founder moment, a testimonial
    • Pick the track for its meaning first, its sound second

  4. Sound effects instead of music, for demos and tutorials.
    • A camera shutter click on a before and after, a soft whoosh when text appears,
that’s enough to say “pay attention here.”
    • Add one or two SFX at the exact moments you want someone’s eyes to stop, a reveal, a swipe, a key point landing

  5. Qur’an recitation
This is different from nasheed. Please keep in mind, do not use Qur’anic ayahs as a background sound to keep people hooked. It needs to be listened with proper attention and adab, that’s the haqq of Qur’an.
    • Use a short, clearly sourced recitation that reflects your real emotion. i.e shukr, abundance etc
    • Save it for genuinely reflective moments
    • When in doubt, leave it out 🙂

give the post a job before you pick a format

understand your positioning

know exactly who the post is talking to

what a hook actually is, and few ways to write one

what your metrics are actually telling you

a simple weekly system so you’re not starting from zero

Btw, we’re HUGE believers that every post should do the trust part. But as a beginner, this is the funnel you need to follow. Once you get your audience’s pain points, their desires and what they actually expect from you, you can weave trust into every post 🙂
